Shukriya
With a thrill of experimentation in new roles the Mast boy of Bollywood Aftab Shivdasani is going to say the audience Shukriya with Shriya Saran. But not in a Mast style; rather more emotionally. Aftab’s new film ‘Shukriya’ is going to hit the silver screen on 4th October. The film is based on an emotional story line and the human relationship; pathos of life and bond of love between family members have been shown in a heart touching way. Vibha-Ragini produces the film under the banner of Inspired Movies. Anupam Sinha makes his directorial debut through this film. Popular music directors like Vishal-Sekhar, Himesh Reshammaiya and Yogendra-Devendra have decorated the film with music to the lyrics of Sameer. The music is released by T-Series. The film has nine tracks.
The music starts with the song Tumhara Tumhara. This is a romantic track sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. The track starts with the voice of Udit Nayaran. Himesh Reshammaiya has decorated this track with a slow music. The two romantic hearts express themselves perfectly through Udit and Alka in this track.
The next track is Tumhe Jitna Bhulate Hain. Himesh Reshammaiya’s music again touches the heart in this melodious romantic track. This solo track moves with moderate pace. Sameer’s lyrics have beautifully expressed the romantic mood in the voice of Sonu Nigam. This is more appealing, and Sonu has come out with his natural style again.
Akhon Akhon Mein follows the next with a bit fast speed. This is the expression of two lovebirds in the voice of K.K. and Sunidhi Chouhan. Vishal-Sekhar has come out with a music track, providing a good platform for dance.
In the next track Devendra-Yogendra gives a fast jazz type music to an emotional lyric of Sameer in the voice of Sonu Nigam. This song matches well with the story line. It is like an outburst of a lovelorn heart. The background chorus makes it more attractive and appealing.
The next is the Theme track Shukriya composed by Raju Rao. There is no voice but the composition of the music proceeds with the script of the film. The emotional appeal of the script has been clearly expressed through music track. Side A ends with this title theme track.
On side B the famous singer Kumar Sanu has given voice to a melodious music to the lyrics of Dil Ai Dil. This song is more emotional and touches the deep corner of the lovelorn heart. This is an expression of a lover who longs for his sweetheart. The youth would like it.
The next track on the same side is Kya Haal Hai Mere Is Dil Ka in the voices of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. This is another romantic duet with a moderate pace music. Udit and Alka have come out with their best performance expressing Dil ka Haal. Himesh Reshammaiya again decorates the lyric with a pleasant music track.
Ni Soniye is the third track of this side. Here Sonu, Udit, Alka and Shreya Ghoshal give their voices together. This is more a kind of Punjabi bhangra pop style song with a moderate pace. This is full of entertainment stuff. This is group song and energizes the listeners to dance with the rhythm of the Punjabi dhol. Devendra-Yogendra again presents one more entertaining music track.
Main Poonchha Kudrat Se is the last track. This is a slow paced track in the voice of veteran singers like Anuradha Paudwal and Kumar Sanu. Again in this romantic track Vishal Shekhar has given a usual touch of music. This track is an expression of an affection from the lovers to each other.
On the whole, the music of Shukriya is the usual one like those of other romantic movies. Except one bhangra pop style all others are romantic melodies.
